During our recent family vacation at the Auray, we found it to be a solid choice for those seeking a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel was clean and well-positioned, making it convenient for exploring nearby attractions like the picturesque Saint-Goustan port and the scenic St Laurent Golf Course, which my family thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to assist us. We had a cooler bag of food from our house, and they kindly stored it in their fridge, which made our stay smoother. We stayed in a room for three, featuring two single beds and a double. Just a quick heads-up: if you prefer softer beds, you might find the firmer French style a bit of an adjustment. Breakfast was fine, giving us a decent start for our days of adventure. With 15-20 minutes driving to Carnac, the location allows for easy day trips. All in all, Auray is a practical option for families wanting to explore the area while enjoying a basic but comfortable stay.
